About CAPC Bristol

The Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC) is one of the leading centres in the UK which form the NIHR School for Primary Care Research. It is part of Bristol Medical School, an internationally recognised centre of excellence for population health research and teaching.

We conduct high quality research within a number of themes relating to primary care and general practice with a multidisciplinary approach. Within the three broad themes of disease management, organisations and delivery of care, and methodology, we conduct clinical trials and research projects into a variety of topics. These include: domestic violence, long-term conditions, antibiotic resistance, dementia, reducing unplanned admissions, and childhood health.
